So my guy is leaving for Iraq today. He actually called for the last time on Wednesday, so I've already said goodbye, but today still sucks. He'll only be gone for 6 months. I can't wait to get my first letter from him. It will be fun to have a pen pal, I suppose. I do enjoy writing letters. (It's more fun to have a boyfriend who is not millions of miles away of course, but I'll take what I can get.)
So anyways, anyone who's reading this, please pray that he's safe and hopefully that he might enjoy his experiences there the best he can. I know he'll do his job well.

I have been thinking about you and the fact that Curtis was leaving. I have been praying for a while. Is there an address we can send letters and things too? Would Curtis want to get stuff from us?
